Has anybody seen this? Flat,as all good 1er Empire should be, but back marked to 'London' and with 'Russian' numerals.
The same seller lists a few normal 1er empire buttons, including a regular 21eme button.

I think this is the button you are referring to, yes its quite different, makes you wonder if it started life as a French army button maybe as something else and stamped over ? The guy is selling another one more typical.

ps. I too have a period button with letters marked on the back but not with a loop like this one.

Thanks for the info, an interesting button, not only for the London reference, but, also for the loop back and the Arabic 1 rather than a Roman 1.

I have a new set of buttons on order, I'll let you know when they are ready.

I've no idea why this set of messages has decided to be wider than the norm.
