| | Can anyone confirm the height of a musket cabinet? I am told that a 1515mm height is available for approx £160.

i have measured my musket and its length is 1553mm, have checked a couple of retailers and 60inches(1552mm) is often quoted for a 1777 Charleville so i would question if it will be big enough, of course the best approch is to take a musket and see if the internal lenth and layout are suffiecent.
Some Police authorties will allow you to secure a flintlock shot gun with a steel security cord which would be a less expensive and more convenient option, i hope the above helps. | | | | Capfour
(322 posts so far) | | Barrie, most of the quotes will be for Brown Bess sized muskets, which a bit shorter than Charlevilles. You could of course just take the barrel off, the length of the stock is then about 1.47m (58 inches). Have a look on ebay as there appear to be several on sale, if your willing to pick it up.
