| | Hello Brummie/All,
I got home in unbelievably 6.5 h, 3 h less than on way down. I hit that hail 3 times on the way up, amazing.
I can safely say I had a great time and firing in such extreme weather was a real challenge, but I think we all did really well.
I really enjoyed the drill, skirmishing was great and forming square and the victory over the Vrits made the weekend, what fantastic Cavalry.
Keith thank you for organising us and to our Coporals who were fantastic, the drill was top notch and camaraderie as well. I could feel the winter rust peel off and by the end of the weekend it felt good.
It was a pity the end of the event was so rushed due to bad weather, Thanks to everyone in the ranks. David it was good skirmishing together.
Everyone see you soon, Best regards, Rob
p.s. had some good windy warm weather today and the tent is almost...almost dry....

Hopefully we'll be invited back when the weather is a bit better.

Hi All
Received an email from the Park thanking us all for a great weekend. I can only add mime and the 95ths thanks to you all for the dedication you showed at the event even under bad weather conditions. If you log on to the itvlocal website go to Thames vallley news for the 13th April there is a piece about the event.
Andrew Rayfield (Chairman 2nd 95th Rifles) | | | | Lemauditanglais (44 posts so far) | | One idea that I would like to put forward is that we do a kit display at Malmaison, similar to that the 95th did at Wellington, it provided a focal point for the public, stopped them coming straight thru etc.
Maybe David H. can try a prototype at Revolution House ? see how it goes ?

| | HI everyone, what a weekend! the sunshine, the wide open spaces, the idillic setting, not to mention the torrential rain, hail, thunder and lightening, good job the weather turned out better than forcast.
The batteles lasted quite well and shirmishing was certainly great fun, you get more bangs for your buck! Robert, i think we could have rolled up the entire 95th line.
Chris, I have already been planned akit display at Revolution House, just trying to get the rest of the kit together.
A friend of mine has seen a leaflet for Revolution house featuring 'a visit by a group of French Napoelonic soldiers, one of six special events this year'. The illustration features a 21eme shako.
Lastly, i managed to loose my oil flask on the Sunday, if anyone found please let me know.
David.
